• The first entry (left) contains a video in which I discuss my book The Dawn of Software Engineering: from Turing to Dijkstra.
• The second entry (second from left) contains a video in which I present a critical review of George Dyson's book Turing's Cathedral: the Origins of the Digital Universe. Errata: Contrary to what I say in my talk, Freemon Dyson, father of George Dyson, is not a Nobel Prize winner.
• The third entry contains a video in which I discuss programming in the 1950s in 5 pictures. Errata: by 1950, linguistics and logic were several centuries (not decades) old.
• The fourth entry contains a video in which I discuss the history & philosophy of programming, primarily in connection with the question "Is C a Turing Complete Language?". I gave this talk in August 2015 in Helsinki and before digging into the decent philosophical literature of Raymond Turner et al.
• Second row, first entry: a 2013 video in which I discuss some parts of Dijkstra's career. Due to technical problems, the recording begins a couple of minutes after I start talking. The venue is iCHSTM, Manchester, July 2013. The title of my talk is: Edsger W. Dijkstra in the 1980s: proving theorems by programming an ideal, non-existing, machine.
